After being behind in the game for most of the second innings, somehow Wadebridge found a way to win with last man Elliot Dunnett striking the penultimate ball for six over long on.

Helston’s top order all contributed to reach 160 before the third wicket fell.

Opening Jayden Mitchell made 51, and Karl Leathley 36 before Billy Taylor got 31 and Steve Jenkin 39.

Requiring 241, Ryan Tonkin (2-35) and Lewis Stephens (3-22) reduced the visitors to 69-5.

However, James Turpin (88) and Ryan Jackson (38) added 101 for the sixth wicket only for Bryn Evans and Sunny Osmont to share four wickets to leave the visitors’ last pair requiring 36 off four overs.

That became ten off the last only for Matt Lawrence (14no) and Dunnett (25no) to secure a famous win.

It was less dramatic at Camborne, who lost to Callington by seven wickets with 23 overs to spare.

The home side lost seven wickets in reaching the hundred mark before Daniel Stephens top scored with 28 in the 143.

Callington’s top five were all in the runs, led by Matt Whalley’s 41no.

Redruth are 26 points clear of the foot of the table thanks to a six-wicket success at Grampound Road.

The home side had been 171-4 but Ellis Whiteford repeated his County 'fifer' at Truro in the week with 5-16 to wrap the tail up.

Toby Whiteford (55) was third out at 104 before Attyab Ahmad (65no) and Toby Stoddard (51no) put on an unbroken 111 for the fifth wicket.

Since joining the League in 1910, Falmouth have never been outside of the top two divisions, but to avoid that ignominy, things need to improve in the final third of the season.

Following an eighth straight defeat, at fellow strugglers Newquay.

Falmouth are 13 points behind Luckett and 20 points from safety.

Newcomer from Lanhydrock, Amir Khan. made 47 on debut after opener Harry Philpott got 25.

Stithians' top eight all got into double figures in the 168 all out.

Nathan Strick top scored with 27.

Neil Ivamy and son Jack took three wickets each.

Hayle remain top, two points ahead of Paul.

Dan Lello’s 115 set them up for 264 at Perranporth, who were dismissed for 164.

In Division Two, three defeats in a row see Mullion now 41 points behind St Erme, with Penzance Seconds in second spot albeit 35 points adrift.

Mullion were dismissed for 132 at home to Camborne Seconds in pursuit of the modest victory target of 145.

Constantine’s losing run continued with a 98-run home defeat by Ludgvan.

In Division Three, Perranarworthal suffered against high-flying Veryan at Tredrea, who hit 382-6 with 150 from Matthew Tregunna.

The match produced an aggregate of 623 runs with Perran making 242-6.

Tom Pucknell got 42.

Wendron had a five-wicket home defeat to Perranporth Seconds, who chased down 153 with fifteen overs to spare.

Ryan Whitbread hit 56 after Wendron had been 41-6.

With the top four all winning in Division Four, Penryn St Gluvias remain 15 points behind Barripper with Hayle Seconds five points further behind.

Jacob Turner took 5-11, and Andrew Bowden made 33 in the four-wicket win over Redruth.
