Paddy Pimblett pokes fun at Jake Paul with cheeky gift ahead of Anthony Joshua bout
Paddy Pimblett has taken aim at Jake Paul ahead of his heavyweight clash with Anthony Joshua, adding more fuel to the fire before what is expected to be one of the biggest fights of the year.
Paul and Joshua are set to meet at the Kaseya Center in Miami this Friday, in a fight that has drawn plenty of attention from both fans and fighters alike.
While many fighters on the undercard have backed the YouTube-turned-boxer, there are still widespread concerns about his health heading into a bout against someone as experienced as AJ. Not everyone is convinced he is ready for this step up.
Pimblett has not missed an opportunity to take a jab at Paul. The UFC fighter has been vocal about his opinions on ‘The Problem Child’ in the past and did not hold back this time either.
Paddy Pimblett trolls Jake Paul with gift ahead of Joshua fight
Much of the criticism aimed at Paul’s boxing career has centred on his choice of opponents, many of whom have been noticeably smaller and older.
This time around, the dynamic is completely different. Standing at 6’6″, Joshua towers over Paul, and plenty of voices in the fight community believe the match-up poses a genuine risk to him.
With that in mind, ‘The Baddy’ did not miss an opportunity to take a dig at Paul by sending him a ‘helpful’ gift ahead of the bout against Joshua.
“So, the other day, I posted a video with a little idea to help (Jake Paul) with that little five inch height disadvantage he keeps moaning about, and it looks like someone has taken notice,” Paddy said.
“A little step ladder for him for the little five inches he’s moaning about.”

Opening up the steps in the video revealed a pair of boxing shoes with thick soles, clearly designed to give Paul some extra height.
“We’ve got to get these sent sharpish, special delivery, make sure they get to the sausage before Friday,” he added.

Paddy Pimblett was once offered $1 million by Jake Paul to spar
Back in 2022, Pimblett accused Paul of fixing his fights, which obviously did not sit well with the American.
Because of these accusations, ‘The Problem Child’ offered Pimblett $1 million to spar him, even saying that he would fly him out to Puerto Rico for it.
Although Pimblett seemed to accept the offer at first, the sparring session never happened. But that has not stopped Paddy from keeping up the criticism since then.
