Watch: U-19 Asia Cup final boils over as Vaibhav Suryavanshi responds to angry Pakistan send-off
The India vs Pakistan Under-19 Asia Cup final was a heated battle. As India struggled to chase a massive 348 run target, after every dismissal, Pakistan bowlers and fielders celebrated with full aggression and ensured that they pick up their guns for celebrations and verbal exchanges.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi was instrumental in India's innings, which started out at a very brisk pace. The left-hander did not take long to get to the boundary and Ali Raza was punished for 20 runs in the very first over, thus, the pressure was shifted to Pakistan immediately.
The other hand of the wicket saw the team asking for captain Ayush Mhatre to hold, but unfortunately, Mhatre was out very quickly. Just two runs Mhatre had made when he got out, taken by Ali Raza and this was followed by a scuffle between both sides.
Another blow to India came shortly after when their most dangerous batter during the tournament, Aaron George was dismissed. The top order was in ruins and log heavy on Vaibhav Suryavanshi's shoulders was the task of taking the innings over to the middle.
The young left-handed batter was caught out by Ali Raza, throwing away a chance to make a substantial innings in the fifth over. Pakistan players got excited and once again, targeted the batter with verbal abuse. While leaving the ground, Suryavanshi didn't take it lightly and made it very clear with his body language that he was unhappy with what had been said and was ready to give an equally fiery response.
