Tanvir Ahmed slams Harbhajan Singh after viral video.

Former Pakistan cricketer did not mince his words in reply to Harbhajan Singh's sharp remarks about him. Tanvir Ahmed, known for his explosive talks on Pakistan TV channels was slammed by the India legend after he targeted him over an interview with cricketer Usman Tariq during the ILT20. The exchange has now escalated and drawn worldwide reactions between the two former Pakistan and India cricketers.

Ex-Pakistan fast-bowler who played five Tests, two ODIs and one T20I, questioned Harbhajan Singh's conduct, accusing him of mixed messaging.

“You say you’re doing commentary, but then you ask the broadcasters that you will ignore Usman Tariq. Tu dogla aadmi hai (You're a two-faced person). You tell Indian players not to shake hands with Pakistani players, yet you sit in commentary with Pakistani players. If you call yourself an honest man, you should have clearly said that you wouldn’t stand with him, talk to him, or shake hands with him. Either don’t do commentary with Pakistani players, or if you choose to do it, then be prepared to hear such criticism," Tanvir said in a video, which is going viral on social media.

Later, he warned the India legend that if he again launches personals attacks, harsh language will be used in future exchanges as well.

"You’re accusing me of having no manners, but first look at yourself. You’ve played more cricket than I have, now tell me about your own manners. The words you used for me in your video, I have never spoken like that about you. And the things you said about me at the end of your video, this time I’m showing restraint and respect. But if you repeat this again, I won’t stay quiet. I’ll respond strongly and show you exactly what manners I have, or don’t have. Keep that in mind," he added.

What did Harbhajan Singh say about Tanvir Ahmed?

Former India cricketer Harbhajan Singh fumed at former Pakistan cricketer Tanveer Ahmed over his comments about the ex-spinner during his stint in the ILT20 as presenter. Singh launched an attack on Tanveer, a former Pakistan pacer who played five Tests, two ODIs, and one T20I between 2010 and 2013, questioning his career.

Tanveer made remarks about Harbhajan with Usman Tariq on live TV that did not go down well with the India legend, prompting him to launch a no-mercy attack in response.

“This video is for a tuccha insaan (petty human being), who’s said a few things about me. Ideally, I don’t even know who he is, but because I see that time and again, he does his drama on one platform or another. First, I want to know who this guy is. Do you even know him? His name is Tanvir Ahmed. He’s played some 3-4 matches for Pakistan, and he behaves as if he is Imran Khan, or Wasim Akram or Waqar Younis. Shame on you,” Harbhajan said on his YouTube channel.

“I was serving my role as a broadcaster in the ILT20. What is the role of a broadcaster? When someone wins the Man of the Match award, you ask him questions, right? Usman Tariq, the Pakistan spinner, picked up three wickets and won the match for his team. As a broadcaster, I am obviously supposed to ask him questions. But when I did so, this guy [Tanvir Ahmed] had a problem. Had I not asked him questions, he would have again thought that, since he’s from Pakistan, I didn’t ask him questions. He said, wherever I see a Pakistani cricketer, I roam around them."

Harbhajan Singh gave no indication that he would be backing down. He went on to target Tanveer Ahmed multiple times and finally warned him not to mention his name in any way or any Indian cricketer's name, threating that if the advice is disregarded, there may be serious consequences.

“Listen to me. I don’t even know who you are. None of the greats produced by Pakistan says such a thing. They are well-respected. But people like you, who have never achieved anything, all they can do is sit on cheap channels and utter nonsense. You don’t have the manners to speak. This is the difference between a player who plays 5 matches and one who plays 100,” Harbhajan fumed.

“So Tanvir Ahmed, look at yourself and stop talking nonsense. As far as I am concerned, just buzz off. The next time it happens, teri dhajjiya uda dunga (I’ll destroy you. So get lost).”
