A night to remember for a long time for the Rajasthan Royals spinner Ravi Bishnoi. As soon as he confirmed his third wicket tonight, against the Gujarat Titans, he created history, becoming the youngest Indian bowler to touch the 200-wicket mark in the T20 format.

The proven spinner of Indian cricket now has more than two hundred wickets under his belt. Through the inception of Twenty20 cricket, multiple big names have surpassed the landmark.

Ravi Bishnoi joined an elite club with his feat

Apart from Ravi Bishnoi, the youngest one in the elite list, there are stars like Ravindra Jadeja, Yuzvendra Chahal, Mohammed Shami, Piyush Chawla, Ravichandran Ashwin, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Jasprit Bumrah, Amit Mishra, Harbhajan Singh, and Axar Patel.

The list will be broader with the inclusion of stars across the nations. Shakib Al Hasan (over 450+), Rashid Khan (400+), and Dwayne Bravo, Sunil Narine, and Lasith Malinga (all over 300+) are among the highest overall wicket-takers in T20 history.

Bishnoi is the youngest to achieve the feat

A career beyond the Indian Premier League

At the time of the milestone, Ravi Bishnoi was 25 years and 211 days old, and the achievement arrived in his 170th T20 appearance. He claimed the feat as soon as he claimed the wicket of the New Zealand international Glenn Phillips. Against the Gujarat Titans, the spinner took the wickets of Sai Sudharsan, Glenn Phillips, Washington Sundar, and Rahul Tewatia.

It is worth mentioning that Ravi Bishnoi's career is not limited to the Indian Cricket League. The leg-spinner has played in 44 T20 International matches for India, taking 64 wickets in 44 innings.

In the league, before featuring for the Rajasthan Royals, he played for the Punjab Kings and Lucknow Super Giants as well in the past. So far, in 79 matches in the Indian Premier League, he claimed 77 wickets in total for an economy rate of 8.21.

With the help of Ravi Bishnoi's standout bowling, the Rajasthan Royals made a narrow escape against the Gujarat Titans tonight. Scoring 210 runs in the first innings, RR managed to win the match by only 6 runs as Titans, in exchange for 8 wickets for 204 runs in their tally.

The tension stretched until the last ball of the innings before exploring the winner of the contest. A massive win for Rajasthan after a fierce battle in Ahmedabad.
