When Arjun Tendulkar chose to play cricket, he knew there would be comparisons with his father Sachin. When you are the son of a legend, there is a legacy you carry on your back. Of course, Arjun is yet to play for India and the 26-year-old has an interesting take on what he wants to do with his life. Surprisingly, the aspiration is not to be ambitious about playing for the country like his father.

While giving an interview to Shubhankar Mishra, Arjun, who is part of LSG’s squad in IPL 2026, said he is focused on staying true to the game rather than being driven by ambitious of playing for India.

Arjun Tendulkar’s Choice

Shubhankar gave Arjun three options to decide what he would like to be known for in five years. They were playing for India, being an IPL star or living as a person who is content while giving his all to the game. Arjun chose the last one.

“The last one. Being happy within myself, without hurting or causing harm to others, and living an honest life,” he said.

Yograj Singh’s Open Challenge

Recently, Yograj Singh said that if given to him for six months, Arjun could become the world’s best batter. He said if he could not deliver, he would cut his beard off.

"If you can't do it. Send him to me, I challenge the whole world that if Arjun Tendulkar spends six months with me, he will surpass all the batters in this world. If not, I will cut off my beard and throw it," he had told InsideSport.
