The Indian cricketers tour of New Zealand is attracting fans with Eden Park set for one of its biggest attendances for a number years.
Fifty thousand tickets have been sold in the first two weeks of sales for the historic tour which includes 12 matches in all three formats of the game.
For the first time since 2019 all of Eden Park will be open for seating with the stadium's upper level being available for the fourth T20 international on Friday 30 October.
The 2019 tour by India attracted a big crowd while the men's World Cup in 2015 and a men's T20 international against Australia in 2018 are the only other times in recent history that the sixth tier of seating has opened up.
"Being able to open up the top level of Eden Park for the first time in years is really exciting and speaks to the swell of excitement building around the tour," New Zealand Cricket's head of marketing Tim Ellis said.
On sales so far, Hagley Oval is already at 75 percent capacity for the second T20 on Saturday 24 October.
The first Test at the Basin Reserve is also expected to near capacity after the Wellington crowd was sold out in recent fixtures there.
The ticket sales will boost New Zealand Cricket, after it announced a preliminary deficit of $7.3 million for the last financial year.
Projections of India tour revenue are largely behind NZC forecasting a surplus of more than $10 million for its next result.
