IPL 2026 points table after match 9: Rajasthan Royals beat Gujarat Titans by 6 runs
Rajasthan Royals pulled off a thrilling 6-run win over Gujarat Titans in a last-ball finish, successfully defending 210 to go top of the IPL 2026 points table. With two wins in two matches, RR now lead the standings with 4 points and an impressive net run rate of +2.233.
Delhi Capitals sit second, also unbeaten with 4 points from two games, maintaining a strong NRR of +1.170. Punjab Kings follow closely in third place with identical points but a slightly lower net run rate of +0.637. Royal Challengers Bengaluru are fourth, having played just one match so far but registering a big win, reflected in their excellent NRR of +2.907.
Sunrisers Hyderabad occupy the fifth spot with one win and one loss, giving them 2 points and a positive NRR of +0.469. Mumbai Indians are just behind in sixth place, also with 2 points, but their net run rate of -0.206 puts them lower on the table.
Gujarat Titans, after their narrow loss to Rajasthan, are placed seventh with two defeats in as many matches and an NRR of -0.424. Lucknow Super Giants are eighth, having lost their only game so far, with a net run rate of -1.397.
Kolkata Knight Riders are ninth with two losses and an NRR of -1.964, while Chennai Super Kings are currently at the bottom of the table. CSK have also lost both their matches and have the worst net run rate so far at -2.562.
With the tournament still in its early stages, the table remains tightly contested, but Rajasthan Royals have set the early pace with dominant performances and strong finishes.
