Tanvir Ahmed launches killer attack on Harbhajan Singh after India legend’s vicious threats

Former Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh and former Pakistani cricketer Tanvir Ahmed have locked horns in a fiery war of words ahead of the India vs Pakistan clash in the ongoing T20 World Cup 2026 on Sunday, February 15, at the R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium in Colombo.

It all started as criticism that has now turned into a full-blown public fight between Harbhajan Singh and Tanvir Ahmed, with clips from their statements flooded all over social media. Tanvir was the first one who targeted Harbhajan over his interaction with Usman Tariq during the ILT20.

He accused the former Indian spinner of double standards. Tanvir said in a viral video, “You say you’re doing commentary, but then you ask the broadcasters that you will ignore Usman Tariq. Tu dogla aadmi hai (You're a two-faced person). You tell Indian players not to shake hands with Pakistani players, yet you sit in commentary with Pakistani players.”

He continued, “If you call yourself an honest man, you should have clearly said that you wouldn’t stand with him, talk to him, or shake hands with him. Either don’t do commentary with Pakistani players, or if you choose to do it, then be prepared to hear such criticism.”

Harbhajan hits back with explosive response

But Harbhajan did not stay silent. He came back strongly with an explosive video on his YouTube channel. The former Indian spinner also targeted Tanvir’s small international career. He pointed out that Tanvir played only five Test matches, two ODIs, and one T20I between 2010 and 2013. He even questioned whether Tanvir has enough experience and status to speak about others.

The former World Cup winner said, “A tuccha insaan (petty human being), who’s said a few things about me. Ideally, I wouldn’t even know who he is, but because I see that time and again, he does his drama on one platform or another.

First, I want to know who this guy is. Do you even know him? His name is Tanvir Ahmed. He’s played some 3-4 matches for Pakistan, and he behaves as if he is Imran Khan, or Wasim Akram, or Waqar Younis. Shame on you. I was just serving my role as a broadcaster”

Tanvir Ahmed tells Harbhajan Singh to check his own behaviour with a stern warning

The drama did not stop there, as Tanvir warned Harbhajan about crossing limits. He said that Harbhajan was accusing him of having no manners, but he should first check his own behaviour.

He pointed out that Harbhajan has played much more international cricket, so behave accordingly. He also suggested him to be prepared to hear such criticism if he is doing commentary with Pakistani players, if he is an honest man.

Tanvir also said that he never used such harsh words for Harbhajan in his own videos. He felt that the language used against him was disrespectful. He added that this time he is staying calm and showing respect. But he clearly warned that if such personal attacks happen again, he will not remain silent.

Tanvir noted, “This time I’m showing restraint and respect. But if you repeat this again, I won’t stay quiet. I’ll respond strongly and show you exactly what manners I have, or don’t have.”
