The TNPL auction 2026 took place on July 3, and over 700 players had registered, to be a part of the 8-team tournament, that is to begin on August 4. As many as 56 players were sold, with Chepauk Super Gillies making the most expensive purchase of the auction — Ashwanth Valthapa for a massive 14.45 lakh. Mukilesh U wasn’t far behind, as far as the big bucks is concerned, and was offered 13.70 lakh by Nellai Royal Kings, for his services.
