According to a report from Sports Tak's Nitin K Srivastav, BCCI are all set to appoint a new captain for India's T20I side ahead of their upcoming white-ball tour of the UK, which includes eight T20Is against Ireland and England.

Suryakumar Yadav, who was appointed as India's T20I captain in July 2024, is reportedly set to lose his captaincy just months after leading the Men in Blue to their third T20 World Cup title.

BCCI is expected to announce SKY's replacement later this month, when the white-ball squad for the UK tour will be announced.
