A massive defeat for the Bangladesh Women's Cricket Team in the ongoing Women's Asia Cup against the Indian Women's Cricket Team. On September 10, Bangladesh went down to India by 40 runs.

Throughout the second innings of the game at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, the Indian bowling unit continuously dominated the opposing batting order. As a result, the Tiger Brigade was never in a position to surpass the target.

Bangladesh needed to score 150 runs to win the match in 20 overs, which was not massive in modern-day Twenty20 cricket. The batters tried to play some aggressive strokes to rotate the strike rate to meet the required rate. Without forming any significant partnership, they eventually faded away from the contest.

At the presentation ceremony, Bangladesh Women's team captain Nigar Sultana actually blamed her bowlers for tonight's defeat against the Indian cricket team.

Furthermore, she also stated that there was pressure on them as the total of 150 was out of their reach. Despite the 40-run defeat, Nigar Sultana asked his teammates to enjoy the games more going ahead.

"Yeah, actually we didn’t bowl well today because what we have done in the last three games, we bowled really well, as a side. I guess we fielded really well. We lost so many chances over there. So yeah, it happens," Bangladesh Women's National Cricket Team captain Nigar Sultana said.

It was the semi-final fixture of the tourament, so there might be extra pressure over the cricketers. But the skipper refused to say that they perfromed poorly because of pressure.

"I don’t think so that it was the pressure, I guess. It was just a bad day what happened to the whole team and yeah, sometimes, we really wanted to restrict them in a total that we can chase, but somehow we didn’t bat as well as in the powerplay," she added.

"I think we have achieved a lot of things from here, I guess. One thing that we have learned from here is that we kept ourselves very limited here. So in future we really wanted to play our all-out game and we just need to execute ourselves when the middle.," she added further she was asked to share a message after their final game of the tournament.

Sometimes, the pitch also played a massive role behind a game's ultimate result. Nigar Sultana did not directly put finger to the pitch, but ssaid that they got multiple chances in the match, but could not convert the chances in dismissing the Indian batters.

Because we played the three games, it was behaved like that, but we may expect to, like maybe we’ll get more good wicket this time, but still we bowled well. We created our chances, but we couldn’t capitalize them, so they batted really well.
