India and Pakistan are set to clash in the T20 World Cup 2026 match at R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. Ahead of the blockbuster clash, Pakistan captain Salman Ali Agha said he wants India to play Abhishek Sharma. The southpaw missed India's last game against Namibia due to stomach flu, and remains doubtful for the Pakistan clash. Agha said he wants to play against the best and hoped that Abhishek is fit to play.

"I hope Abhishek Sharma plays tomorrow. I hope he's recovering well. We want to play against the best," Salman Agha told reporters.

Salman Agha also urged India to end the handshake snub. For the unversed, the Indian cricket team refused to shake hands with their Pakistani counterparts as a protest against the Pahalgam attack. This stirred a massive controversy as the Pakistan Cricket Board accused India of politicising the sport, and demeaning the sportsmanship.

When asked about the handshake snub, Salman Agha said he expects India to uphold the spirit of sportsmanship. "We hope the sportsman spirit is there tomorrow," Salman Ali Agha said.
