John Hampden Grammar School's U15 side earned its place in the inaugural Barclays Knight-Stokes Cricket Cup final following an impressive run through a tournament featuring more than 1,100 teams from across the country.

The team represented High Wycombe at the home of cricket after progressing through a series of challenging fixtures, including an 11-run semi-final victory over Queen Elizabeth's School in Barnet.

Berkeley, the developer behind the Abbey Barn Park neighbourhood in High Wycombe, supported the school's trip by helping fund coach travel and match-day costs for players, staff and supporters.

Simon Parbery, Head of Cricket at John Hampden Grammar School, said reaching a Lord's final was the culmination of four seasons of hard work from the squad.

Captain Harry Watts previously described the opportunity to play at Lord's as a "dream come true".

The achievement is particularly notable as the school does not have its own cricket pitch and instead works in partnership with High Wycombe Cricket Club to deliver its cricket programme.
