Finedon Dolben took a massive step towards retaining their Northants Cricket League Premier Division crown with a 132-run thrashing of long-time title rivals Stony Stratford at Avenue Road on Saturday.
Stony won the toss and opted to field, and will have been encouraged as they reduced Finedon to 88 for three in the 24th over - but things went awry for them pretty much from that moment.
That's because Sean Davis, who hit 79 from 124 balls, and Daniel Bendon (61 from 68) put on 126 in 21 overs for the fourth wicket.
Stony did claw things back a little, but the home side still posted 272 for eight in their 50 overs - with Edward Hodgson hitting the last two balls of the innings for six!
For Stony, Steven Plant claimed four for 44 from five overs, with Ben Arnold took two for 36.
Stony then endured a shocking start as openers Charlie Oldershaw and Henry Richardson both went for ducks to leave their side nought for two.
Plant (30) and Michael Wells (40) led the recovery to 67 for two, but the latter's dismissal sparked a collapse that saw Stony bowled out for just 140.
The wickets were shared around for Finedon, with Jack Fuller, Hodgson, Tom Brett and Bendon all taking two apiece.
With two matches to play, the win sees Finedon sitting 22 points clear at the top, with Geddington having gone above Stony and into second place after their win at Peterborough.
Third-placed Stony are a further three points back.
Jack Parker struck an unbeaten century to lead Geddington to their impressive win at Posh.
The home side were indebted to runs from David Clarke (87), Nick Green (67) and Zeeshan Manzoor (48no) as they recovered from six for two to post 255 for seven, with Guveer Singh taking three for 61.
Geddington made surprisingly light work of the chase as they eased to 258 for four with 13 balls to spare.
Parker led the way with 102 not out from 93 balls, while Matt Taylor hit 73 from 91.
If results go their way, Finedon could clinch the title on Saturday as they go to Kislingbury Temperance, while second-placed Geddington will be hoping to keep things alive as they entertain second-from-bottom Rushden & Higham Town.
Stony entertain rock-bottom Loddington & Mawlsey, who were beaten by six wickets at Overstone Park last Saturday.
Ryan Hawthorn hit 98 not out as Loddington made 225 for nine, with Alex Rennie taking four for 48.
Benjamin Sales then top-scored with 66 not out and Alistair McLaughlin hit 56 as Overstone cruised to 226 for four with nine overs to spare.
In last weekend's other games, Oundle thrashed Kislingbury by nine wickets, and Rushden & Higham secured a are win, beating Old Northamptonians at home.
At Kislingbury, Ashley Starmer made 64 as the home side were bowled out for 197, with David Foster claiming four for 37.
Oundle then raced to 199 for one in 28 overs with Josh Smith hitting 69 not out, Sam Batten 61 not out and Mark Hodgson 50.
At Rushden, Urva Nadeem hit 59 and Asad Awan 45 to help ONs to a useful 255 for nine in their 50 overs, with George Earl taking three for 33.
But it wasn't enough as Rushden race to 258 for four to win with nearly eight overs to spare.
Chana Ruwansiri was the main man, hammering 110 not out from just 84 balls, while support came from Sam Kumar (53no).
