Led by Sameer Minhas’ stunning 172, Pakistan inflicted a crushing 191-run defeat on India in the final of the U-19 Asia Cup 2025.
Minhas — who reached his ton from a mere 71 balls — played an innings studded with elegant strokes, smashing 17 fours and nine sixes as he carted the Indian bowlers around the park.
Pakistan started in good form with the ball as well, removing Ayush Mhatre, Aaron George, and Vaibhav Suryavanshi inside the first five overs to knobble the Indian chase before it had begun properly. It eventually shot India out for xx, registering the largest victory in the history of the U-19 Asia Cup finals.
This is Pakistan’s second U-19 Asia Cup title. It last won the competition in 2012, where it shared the title with India after the final ended in a tie.
