Bourne head into the final match of the Lincolnshire Premier League campaign with the title destiny in their own hands.

The Abbey Lawn side moved to the top of the Premier Division table on Saturday after the penultimate round of the matches.

They romped to a convincing eight-wicket win over Sleaford while title rivals Scunthorpe suffered an away defeat at Lindum.

The two championship challengers face a final day winner-takes-all showdown at the Abbey Lawn on Saturday with Bourne going into the match having a 15-point advantage over their visitors.

They skittled Sleaford out for 92 on Saturday after winning the toss and putting their hosts into bat.

Jack Berry took an impressive 5-25 from 8.3 overs while Ruben Baker claimed 3-19 for Bourne who needed less than 12 overs to pass their target.

Opener Sam Evison struck 40 not out while skipper Dan Freeman was unbeaten on 23 at the close.

Spalding will finish in the relegation places despite a seven-wicket home win over bottom of the table Grantham on Saturday.

They dismissed their visitors for 126 with Barnaby Dring and Walter Kinlock both claiming three wickets for Spalding whose successful run chase was led by 55 not out from Divyeash Vaseeharan.

Market Deeping have made a quick-fire return to the top flight after clinching the Championship South title on Saturday.

They beat Moulton Harrox by 102 runs and head into the final round of fixtures with an unassailable 29-point advantage over second-placed Newborough.

Deeping made 260-9 from their 50 overs on Saturday with Muhammad Saleem scoring 52 and Danyaal Malik making 34.

Moulton were then bowled out for 158 as Malik took 3-7 from five overs with Josh Newton the home side's top scorer with 36.

Bourne 2nds moved out of the bottom two after a four-wicket home success over Sleaford who were bowled out for just 54.

Tom Patchett picked up a superb 6-19 from 10 overs while Ben Stroud returned 2-3 from 3.4 overs for Bourne who secured the win despite losing six wickets in reply.

Long Sutton maintained their push for the Division One South title with an eight-wicket home win over Burghley Park 2nds.

They restricted their visitors to 141-9 with Jake Burton taking 4-15 from an excellent nine-over spell.

Opener Calvin Bird got the Sutton reply off to a flying start with 47 before Dan Oldfield (39no) and Aron John (29no) steered them home with an undefeated 66-run partnership.

The victory leaves Sutton 13 points clear of second-placed Freiston with two games matches remaining.

Their title rivals were 60-run home winners over Moulton Harrox 2nds on Saturday.

Jay Hemmant had taken 3-38 to help Harrox dismiss Freiston for 190 but they were restricted to 130-9 in reply despite Shanaka Sumanapala hitting 68 not out.

Third-placed Billingborough's title charge has faltered in the final few weeks of the season and they lost by 70 runs at home to Castor.

Spalding 2nds boosted their hopes of avoiding a bottom two finish after a 59-run away success at Ketton Sports 2nds.

The visitors made 182-9 after batting first before bowling Sports out for 123.

Baston were bowled out for 83 as they lost by seven wickets at home to Freiston 2nds.
