Hayat followed undefeated knocks of 109 and 100 with 111 not out as Nassington cruised to a seven-wicket home win over Bretton. He is now averaging 324 from four knocks.

Bretton had looked in good shape when reducing Nassington to 25-2 in pursuit of 218, but Hayat struck 16 4s and 2 6s in a run-a-ball innings to ease his side to victory with almost 9 overs to spare.

Earlier Tom Sanderson had top scored with 72 for Bretton. Hayat was one of 3 Nassington bowlers to pick up 2 wickets. The others were Hassnain Shabbir and Imran Maqbool.

Werrington were also winners at this level, by 10 runs at Elstow. Naveed Ahmed (77) was their star performer.

In Division One Bharat Sports were the latest team to take advantage of whipping boys Huntingdon. Harsh Joshi (103, 76 balls), Satyam Modhvadia (90, 56 balls), Dipak Kuchadia (57 not out, 35 balls) and Nilesh Kuchadia (50, 39 balls) all scored freely as Bharat piled up 386-7 in their 45 overs to set up a 275 run win.

Newborough Bulls look like the team to beat in Rutland Division One this season. They made it 5 wins in 6 outings with a 124-run win over reigning champions Burghley Park. Sam Malton (66) and George Woods (51) scored best in Newborough’s 252 before Joe Mills took 4-34 in Burghley’s 128 all out.

United Sports maintained top spot in Division Two with a 5-wicket win over Oakham, while Muhammad Toseeq blasted 6 6s in his late order 72 as Werrington beat Orton Park by 140 runs in a city derby.

Tim Juggins contributed 122 and Brett Bennett bagged 5-22 as second-placed Stamford Town crushed Adidda by 224 runs in Division Three and Oundle Town made it 5 wins in 5 games in Division Four with an 8-wicket win at Upwood. Arnie Gough (4-14 & 58) was man-of-the-match in this game.

Harry Kinnear claimed 5-7 as Nassington beat Ufford Park 2nds by 134 runs in Division Five.

Ramsey are down to 9th in the East Anglian Premier League after an 8-wicket duffing from Sawston & Babraham, but Wisbech Town are up to 6th in Cambs Premier Division One after a 2-wicket win over Burwell & Exning at Harecroft Road. Naveen Fernando was star man here hitting an unbeaten 114 from 96 balls after coming to the crease at 31-5 chasing 221-8.
