They dismissed their bottom-of-the-table hosts for just 113 in 38 overs, and needed just under 17 overs to secure victory.

Their bowling honours went to Liam Dudding who returned excellent figures of 13.5-7-41-5, while James Woodford took 2-6 and Oliver Thilo 2-30.

The only home batter to offer any real resistance was skipper Jonathan Carter, who scored 46 off 51 balls.

The day's batting honours at the Rotten Row venue went to Finchampstead's Sam Seecharan, who hit 55 not out off 33 balls, including five sixes and five fours.

After opener Greg Smith had been bowled for five, making it 32-1, Seecharan and James Isbell added 41 in eight overs before the latter fell for 37 with the team total on 73 in the 13th over.

This brought Seecharan and Tommie Predgen (11no) together and they saw their side home at 117-2 in 16.4 overs.

Seecharan hit Kieran Patel for three successive sixes in the 15th over.

Finchampstead sit second in the Division One placings, four points behind Oxford Downs, ahead of their home game with Wokingham next Saturday.

Wycombe were involved in an incredible match last weekend at Henley. Needing 157 to win, they raced to their target in just 24 overs for the loss of two wickets, with opener Josh Lincoln blasting 44 off just 13 balls, thanks to five sixes and three fours.

He smashed 28 runs (4x6, 1x4) off one over from former Berkshire team-mate and current county skipper Andy Rishton, whose predecessor, Dan Lincoln, hit 40 not out. Wycombe host Great Brickhill this Saturday.

Then on Sunday, Finchampstead are in HCCPL T20 Cup semi-final action at Oxford Downs, playing Harefield at 1.30pm, with the winners taking on the host club or Gerrards Cross in the final later in the afternoon.

* Wokingham lost by 34 runs to Division One leaders Oxford Downs at the Wellington Oval.

They dismissed their visitors for 255 in 63.2 overs, with Matt Warner making 65 and Muddassar Nawaz taking 3-50 and Anthony Clapham 3-62.

The Oaks lost three wickets for 85, but a stand of 86 by Gihahn Cloete and Dan Housego raised their hopes of victory.

However, Housego fell for 53, making it 171-4, and four runs later Sam Singh was trapped lbw for two.

Billy Rogers was caught for five, and when Cloete was bowled for 61, the visitors were seven down for 212.

The last three wickets tumbled in the space of six runs, leaving Wokingham with 221 and their second successive defeat.

* Wargrave lost top spot in HCPL Division Two following a one-wicket defeat at the hands of Horspath after looking to be heading for a victory.

They were dismissed for 199 in 50 overs, which owed much to an excellent knock of 72 by Euan Woods. Harry Whitworth made 25 and Mayank Gudimetla 20, while all seven bowlers used by the visitors took at least one wicket.

Rhys Lewis' side made a tremendous start to Horspath's innings with Toby Greatwood taking three wickets to leave the visitors 5-3 inside five overs.

With Mark Firth and Woods soon following up, Horspath stumbled to 67-6 before a short mini recovery took them to 109-8, which included 44 from opener Tom Nichols. But Derval Green, with 62 and Jehan Mohammed (41no) added 75 invaluable runs for the ninth wicket, and another 18 runs by Mohammed and last man Liam Turnbull (7no) took their side to 202-9 in the 45th over.

Greatwood finished with 3-24 from six overs on a day he was still nursing a shoulder injury that had prevented him from bowling for Berkshire in their win over Oxfordshire earlier in the week. Firth claimed 2-41 and Nilesh Bhandari 2-48.

Wargrave, who trail new leaders Oxford by one point, are home to third-placed Gerrards Cross next Saturday.
