Miles was by far the pick of the bowlers with a five-wicket haul to have the Burway visitors dismissed for 193 but this proved out out of reach with Ludlow then being skittled out for 147.

Put into bat, Shrewsbury were soon in trouble at 35/3 with Miles taking out openers Krrish Chadha for 16 and Ed Prideaux for five.

A 50-run partnership then steadied the ship with Wilfred Peers hitting 47 before losing his wicket to Josh Bowen. Harry Cooke was also among the runs, reaching 51 before being run out by Nathan Engelbrecht with Miles then taking the final three wickets for figures of 5-57 from 13.1 overs.

Joe Williams also impressed with the ball, taking 2-48 from 14 overs while Sammy and Josh Bowen picked up a wicket apiece.

Ludlow opener Engelbrecht hit 63 to give his side the perfect start but only three other batsmen made double figures - Sam Edwards (16), Miles (16) and Williams who was 22 not out when he ran out of partners on 147 all out. Ryan Fernando took 4-36.
