Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) take on Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in Match 11 of IPL 2026 at the iconic M. Chinnaswamy Stadium on April 5. With the tournament starting to take shape, both sides will be eager to make a strong statement in the high-profile clash.

RCB head into this contest on the back of a confident win over Sunrisers Hyderabad in their opening game. Their batting unit looked in great touch, and playing at home, they will be keen to build on that momentum and continue their strong start to the season.

CSK, on the other hand, have had a tough beginning to their campaign, losing both matches, against Rajasthan Royals and Punjab Kings, they have played so far. With questions around their batting and overall balance, CSK will be desperate to bounce back and get their first points on the board against their arch-rival.

Here are 3 key player battles for RCB vs CSK, Match 11, IPL 2026:

Virat Kohli vs Khaleel Ahmed

All eyes will be on Virat Kohli when Royal Challengers Bengaluru take on Chennai Super Kings, especially against the left-arm pace of Khaleel Ahmed. Kohli has historically struggled against left-arm pacers in the opening overs. Although in his head-to-head encounters with Khaleel, Kohli has amassed 46 runs off just 25 balls at an impressive strike rate of 184.

Khaleel has managed to dismiss him only once, and his economy rate of 11.04 against Kohli highlights the challenge he faces. With the new ball in hand, Khaleel will aim to see Kohli's back early, while the former RCB skipper will look to continue his dominance and give his team a strong start.

Krunal Pandya vs Sarfaraz Khan

Krunal Pandya, known for his tight left-arm orthodox bowling, will be up against the aggressive strokeplay of Sarfaraz Khan, who has started his CSK career with two blistering knocks. The numbers suggest a fairly even contest so far.

Krunal has conceded just 14 runs in four innings against Sarfaraz, bolwing at an economy of 5.57. Although Krunal has not picked up his wicket yet, his ability to restrict scoring could be vital in building pressure, forcing Sarfaraz into taking risks.

Sanju Samson vs Bhuvneshwar Kumar

A classic battle between elegance and experience awaits as Sanju Samson takes on the ever-reliable Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Samson has had a decent run against Bhuvneshwar, scoring 120 runs off 95 balls at a strike rate of 126.31. However, the experienced pacer has had his moments too, dismissing Samson four times in their 19 encounters in T20 cricket.

Bhuvneshwar’s ability to swing the new ball and execute bowling plans at will makes this a fascinating contest. Samson, on the other hand, will be looking to find his touch after two back-to-back failures.
