Stratford squirreled out a draw in their Warwickshire League Premier Division clash with Aston Manor on Saturday.

Their hosts had made 271-8 from 50 overs after batting first but the final Stratford wicket proved elusive for Aston Manor as the visitors closed their allocation on 149-9.

Angus King had been the pick of the Stratford attack after taking three wickets against a home side whose innings was anchored by Zia Parwani was plundered 17 boundaries in his 120 not out.

Stratford's reply stuttered to 65-6 before a seventh wicket partnership of 61 between Cameron Stiles (19) and Harry Dube (43).

Joe Leaver added a further 13 runs before the final partnership of Max Morris and Josh Bains kept their wickets intact to frustrate the league leaders.

Earlswood were beaten by two wickets at high-flying Nuneaton in Division Two.

The visitors had made 251-6 from their 50 overs after being put into bat with Johangir Khan finishing unbeaten on 73 not out.

Joe Bussey took four wickets in the Nuneaton reply while Ben Slade claimed another three but Nuneaton were always ahead of the run-rate and had enough batters in hand to seal their success.

Studley claimed the scalp of Division Three leaders Bridge Trust Old Boys after a six-wicket home success.

They restricted their high-flying visitors to 207-9 from 50 overs with Oliver Harris and Chris Regan both taking three wickets each.

Despite losing a wicket early in their reply, Oliver Harris (38) and Chris Perrins (80) put on 74 runs for the second wicket.

Kobi Goldie (45no) and Regan (24no) then guided them home in the 48th over with an unbroken partnership of 54 runs.

Kineton maintained their grip on top spot in the Premier Division of the Cotswold Hills League after a six-wicket home success over Alcester & Ragley.

The visitors made 225-6 after electing to bat first thanks the efforts of James Arnold (46), Kobe Turner (38) and Tim Foster (39no).

Tom Durnian took 3-28 from nine overs for Kineton whose reply was led by Peter Dobson (73) before James Cooper steered them with 81 not out.

Shipston moved into second spot after a five-wicket away win at Tanworth and Camp Hill.

They had bowled out the home side for 205 with Matthew Corby claiming 4-28 and David Pyne picking up 3-30.

Opener Giles Clements had made 52 for Tanworth and Camp Hill before Andy Turnbull struck 67.

Corby then cracked 15 boundaries in his 82 as Shipston secured the win in the 41st over despite Turnbull taking 3-42.

Southam upset the odds as they won by nine wickets against title-chasing Bretforton who were bowled out for 124 after batting first.

Henry Wilkins (3-15) and Craig Lenton (3-33) led the Southam attack before Chris Prophet propelled the second-from-bottom hosts to victory with 61 not out.

Wellesbourne were three-wicket winners at Rowington after chasing down the home side's 273-4.

Xavier Sidhu led their reply with 94 before Thomas Sarson-Hirst hit a quick-fire 43 ahead of Max Taylor securing the win with 29 not out.

The top three teams in Division One - Exhall & Wixford, Norton Lindsey & Wolverton and FISSC - all maintained their push for honours with victories.

Table-topping Exhall & Wixford were 54-run home winners over Kineton 2nds after making 256-7 from their 45 overs.

Julian Morris made 112 for the leaders while Will Green added 40 with Terry Brown bagging 4-28 from nine overs for the visitors.

Asaad Qureshi (51) and Kallum Dixey (43) were the mainstays of the Kineton reply but they closed their 45 overs on 202-7.

Second-placed Norton Lindsey & Wolverton are just two points clear of FISSC in third after a six-wicket away win at Adlestrop.

The home side were bowled out for 152 with Tom Wilcox taking 5-36 for Norton Lindsey & Wolverton and then top-scoring with 72 while Harry Clarke added 43 in a successful run chase.

FISSC were emphatic 111-run home winners over Long Itchington with opener Oliver Horswill hitting 15 fours and nine sixes in his 135.

Louis Glover made 76 in a 147-run opening stand as FISSC rattled up 311-9 from their 45 overs before dismissing Long Itchington for 200 with Arun Chandran claiming 3-28.

Ashorne & Moreton Morrell recorded a 32-run home success over Stratford 3rds who had their opponents reeling on 30-4 at one stage.

However, skipper James Cutts smashed 10 fours and three sixes in his 105 while Callum Rorke made 54 in a 157-run fifth wicket partnership to help Ashorne & Moreton Morrell make 239-7.

Richard Smith scored a half-century in the Stratford reply as they closed on 207-8 with Tom Cox claiming 4-27 for Ashorne & Moreton Morrell.

A rapid innings from Saleem Jan helped Henley-in-Arden to a four-wicket away win at Ashton-Under-Hill.

The home side had made 201-8 with Rich Butler taking 3-36 and the match looked in the balance until Jan's onslaught of eight fours and three sixes in his 37-ball innings of 73 led Henley to victory.

Temple Grafton remain on course for a rapid return to Division One after a six-wicket win at Moreton-in-Marsh maintained their pole position in Division Two.

Jack Harrild hit 39 for Moreton but they were bowled out for 129 with Dan McAdam taking three wickets for Temple Grafton who needed less than 22 overs to pass their target.

Openers Adam Kirk (34) and Braydan Mayoh (49) laid the foundations for a successful run chase with an 89-run first wicket partnership.

Division Three leaders Wellesbourne 2nds suffered a surprise defeat after losing by 60 runs at home to Tanworth and Camp Hill 2nds.

The visitors made 201-9 after batting first with opener Jake Wright making 76 and skipper Martyn Fenn adding 32.

Bradley Maynard took three wickets for the leaders and then made 73 as they were bowled out for 141 in reply as Seth Jordan took 5-33 for Tanworth and Camp Hill.

Hugh Allen scored a century as Welford won by 34 runs against Claverdon.

The opener smashed 18 fours and two sixes in his 113 from 79 balls to help Welford reach a final total of 247.

Joe Taylor took an impressive 7-37 for Claverdon who made 213 in reply with Jon Green making 91. Raghavendra Raj took three wickets for Welford.

Steve Temple and Joe Walters were also in fine form with the bat as Great Alne won by seven wickets at Fladbury.

The home side had made a healthy 273-6 with Temple and Walters leading the Great Alne reply with a 206-run stand for the third wicket.

Walters walloped 17 fours and three sixes in his 93-ball innings of 115 while Temple finished undefeated on 103 not out as Great Alne won with two overs to spare.

Mickelton were five-wicket home winners over Bidford after restricting their visitors to 192.

Craig Hodgkins hit 49 for Bidford and William Harris made 45 with Philip Knight finishing with 3-34 from nine overs for Mickleton.

Tim Dobinson-Law (46) put the run chase in a good position before Vasanth Sivaraman (35no) and Jon Jackson (41no) guided Mickleton home with an undefeated 70-run partnership.
