The Cleeve bowlers put on an outstanding display, with Cam Elswood and Jack Spiers leading the charge.

Elswood took three crucial wickets, while Spiers dismissed Timsbury's top scorer, Passingham, who managed 52 runs.

In response, Cleeve chased down the target in the 30th over, with Motlhana and Lewin remaining unbeaten on 67 and 43, respectively.

They only lost two wickets in their chase, with Spiers and Want dismissed for 14 and 25.

Cleeve's second XI, however, did not fare as well in their Bristol & District Seventh Division West match against Wrington firsts.

Despite a valiant 91 not out from Mark Jones, Cleeve fell 31 runs short of victory.

Wrington posted a total of 242, with Cleeve struggling to take wickets.

Cleeve seconds captain Ellis Turner showed some promise with the ball, taking two wickets in consecutive balls.

However, their response with the bat was not strong enough, with only Mark Jones, Dan Jones, and Dan Dixon reaching double figures.

The Cleeve Sunday XI also faced defeat, losing by seven wickets to Bristol Bangladeshi CC in the Sunday Conference Division 30.

Captain Paul Todd chose to bat first, but the side struggled to make an impact, with only Matt Beadle, R Ponting, and Freddie Basnett reaching double figures.

The side was dismissed for just 85 inside 18 overs.

In response, Bristol Bangladeshi reached the target in the 15th over, despite two wickets for Oli Freeman and one for Sam Williams.

In their next fixtures, Cleeve firsts will face table-toppers Lodway, while the seconds will play against Tamil Nadu Bristol.

The Sundays will look to bounce back against Bath Exiles.
