Hardik Pandya delivered an all-round performance in India’s T20 World Cup match against Namibia at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Thursday, scoring 52 runs and taking two wickets to earn the Player-of-the-Match award.

Pandya scored 52 off 28 deliveries, including four boundaries and four sixes, and was briefly on a hat-trick during Namibia’s chase before the batter blocked the third delivery. India posted 209/9 in 20 overs, with wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan contributing 61 off 24 balls, hitting six fours and five sixes.

For Namibia, captain Gerhard Erasmus returned figures of 4/20. Ben Shikongo (1/41), Bernard Scholtz (1/41) and JJ Smit (1/50) were also among the wicket-takers.

Chasing 210, Namibia’s Louren Steenkamp scored 29 off 22 balls, while Jan Frylinck made 22 off 15 deliveries. Erasmus added 18 off 11 balls, but none of the Namibia batters crossed the 30-run mark.

Amid Valentine’s Day celebrations, Pandya shared a personal moment on Instagram. He reshared a post by Mahieka, who travelled to Delhi to support him during the match.

Mahieka posted a picture of Pandya holding a bouquet of roses and wrote, "Made it to Delhi in time. Man of the match of my life."

Pandya reposted the story and wrote, "Valentine and my baby's birthday week starts."
