On a dramatic day Farnley edged out Townville, who came into the game in second, by just one run while a stunning batting collapse saw Woodlands lose by five wickets to Bradford & Bingley.

In what was only their second loss of the season they lost all 10 wickets for 34 runs after looking well placed to post a big score.

Half centuries from Matty Weston (59) and Mosun Hussain (50) gave Woodlands a fine start as they put on 108 for the first wicket.

But once Weston fell after hitting nine boundaries, an extraordinary collapse followed as they were dismissed for 142, spinner Reece Cockshott being their main destroyer with 6-21.

Joe Pyrah then anchored Bradford & Bingley’s reply with an unbeaten 49 as they reached their target with five wickets and 7.3 overs to spare. Brad Schmulian took 2-36 in vain.

Second-place Hanging Heaton cut Yeadon’s lead to 18 points in Division One after beating them by six wickets.

After electing to bat first Yeadon were restricted to 201-9 with Upul Indrasiri taking 5-57 and Umar Farooq taking two wickets.

Heaton were reduced to 37-4 in their reply before making an impressive recovery through captain Luke Patel and Kasir Maroof who came together for a match-winning unbroken fifth-wicket partnership of 168.

Patel finished unbeaten on 78, including three sixes and eight fours, while Maroof hit two sixes and nine fours in his 78-ball knock of 86no as the home team comfortably reached their target with seven overs to spare.

Birstall also produced an impressive display as they beat Bankfoot by seven wickets.

Waseem Liaqat (5-48) and Jay Cyrus (5-43) shared all 10 wickets as Bankfoot were bowled out for just 96.

Sharoon Siraj then dominated the chase with a fluent 65 from 47 deliveries as Birstall wrapped up victory inside 15 overs.

East Bierley went down by 21 runs at home to Baildon as they failed to improve their bottom of the table position.

Captain James Skingle carried the Baildon innings with 114 after his side had slumped to 44-5.

They went on to make 223 and although Bierley threatened through Hamza Saeed's explosive 80, which included eight sixes and five fours, they were all out for 202.

Despite an unbeaten century from Gulsheraz Ahmed, Undercliffe were edged out by Batley by seven runs in a dramatic contest that improved the latter’s chances of avoiding the drop.

Batley totalled 242-9 with Daanyaal Hussain hitting eight fours plus two sixes in a fine knock of 82 and support coming from Arbaab Hussain (40), Kanishk Dalal (33) and Aadam Hussain (26).

Undercliffe tried hard in their reply with Ahmed hitting 100 from 112 balls, but he ran out of support as Batley held their nerve to secure a valuable victory. Arbaab Hussain (3-48) was their most successful bowler.

Hopton Mills were edged out in a run fest against second-placed Adwalton in Division Three.

Mills looked well placed for victory when posting a big 312 total with Alfie Gatehouse leading the way, smashing 18 fours and three sixes in a superb 112, and Connor Heywood blasting 51 from only 20 balls.

But Adwalton successfully chased down the runs with some brutal batting that saw them reach their target with five wickets and more than 14 overs to spare.
