Vaibhav Sooryavanshi Falters In Big Chase Vs Pakistan In U19 Asia Cup Final, Internet Reacts
Vaibhav Sooryavanshi dismissed for 26 in U19 Asia Cup final as India struggle against Pakistan; fans react to his performance.
Star India batter Vaibhav Sooryavanshi was dismissed for 26 off 10 balls in the final of the U19 Asia Cup against arch-rivals Pakistan on Sunday, December 21, as the opponents secured a massive breakthrough in just the fifth over and ensured that India never recovered from that blow.
Chasing a massive 348, Vaibhav and skipper Ayush Mhatre built a 32-run opening partnership before the latter was dismissed in the third over by Ali Raza.
Aaron George joined Vaibhav in the middle, but he lasted only nine deliveries before being dismissed by Mohammad Sayyam on the final delivery of the fourth over.
To make matters worse, on the very next ball, i.e the first delivery of the fifth over, Vaibhav was dismissed, as he was caught behind and given a send-off by Raza, who too got some fiery reply in return from the 14-year-old.
But the internet was expectedly disappointed with Vaibhav, as his big-hitting was most needed in the ongoing final.
“Vaibhav Suryavanshi should go to school & play IPL in summer vacations, he is not for International cricket at this age, every ball can’t be sent for boundary, good balls should be respected," a user tweeted on Sunday afternoon.

“Vaibhav Suryavanshi impressed us, but in the U-19 Asia Cup, he mostly performed against weaker teams. Failed to deliver against Pakistan twice. Again scored runs, but mostly in outside pressure situations," another user tweeted.
