Leominster IPL Sports Bar Bullseye challenge for hospice
The fundraising challenge brought together players, supporters and local businesses for a day and night of darts, raffles and auctions in aid of the hospice.
“Darts players in Leominster have really hit the bullseye for St Michael’s Hospice. The team took on a 12-hour darts marathon at IPL Sports Bar on West Street, bringing people together for a fantastic fundraiser in support of our patients and their families," said St Michael's Hospice.
“With so many players having personal connections to St Michael’s, this fundraiser means even more to us. We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who picked up their darts, donated and helped make the day such a success.”
Organisers at IPL Sports Bar were equally delighted by the community's response:
“What an incredible day and night. A huge thank you to everyone who took part in our 12-hour darts marathon and helped make it such a fantastic event.
“Twelve hours of darts is no easy challenge, and we really appreciate everyone who got involved.”
The event saw dozens of people take part and support fundraising activities throughout the day. Organisers also thanked everyone who donated prizes, bought raffle tickets, took part in auctions and helped behind the scenes to make the event a success.
A special thank you was given to Sarah, Mervyn, Sean, Dave, Karrina, Jo Jo, Risso, Neil, Blair, Keaton, Connor, Chelsea, MJ, PJ, Tom, Brad, Nelly, Marsh and Kian for their efforts during the marathon.
IPL Sports Bar also paid tribute to its staff and supporters, adding: “We honestly couldn't have done it without every single person who donated, played, bought a ticket, won an auction item, helped behind the scenes or simply came along and supported us.
“From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. What a result, and what a fantastic cause to support.”
While organisers initially announced that £2,000 had been raised, further donations pushed the final total to an outstanding £2,520 for the hospice.
The money will help St Michael’s Hospice continue supporting patients and families across the region, providing care when it is needed most.
Thanking the town for its support, the hospice added: “Thank you, Leominster, for your kindness. You’re helping us make every moment matter.”
