Bhuvneshwar Kumar Praises RCB Batters After Victory Against CSK
Bengaluru, April 5: In the 11th match of IPL 2026, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) delivered an impressive performance, defeating Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by 43 runs at the M. Chinnaswamy Cricket Stadium. Bhuvneshwar Kumar played a crucial role with the ball, stating that the batters made his job easier.
Following the victory against CSK, Bhuvneshwar remarked, “The way we batted made things easier. However, during our bowling, some deliveries came off the pitch unexpectedly, and a few shots made it seem like a good wicket for batting. Still, we stuck to our basics, which we had discussed. We have been talking about this since last year. We remained committed to our plan.” Bhuvneshwar showcased his skills by claiming the wickets of Ayush Mhatre, Prashant Veer, and Noor Ahmad, finishing with figures of 3 wickets for 41 runs in 4 overs.
Regarding his bowling strategy, Bhuvneshwar explained, “Yes, I did that. I think it was more about the field than the wicket. I was also cramping. I believe that’s why I kept my plans simple. The best part is that we are sticking to the basics we discuss in meetings, especially against any opposing team. As I mentioned before, it’s not a very big field for defending or bowling, but the way we are executing our plans and preparing, I think the results are showing.”
Bhuvneshwar also praised Tim David’s explosive innings, saying, “Watching David’s innings left us unsure whether to be happy or worried, as we had to bowl in the second innings too.” Tim David played a remarkable knock, scoring an unbeaten 70 runs off just 25 balls, including 3 fours and 8 sixes. Meanwhile, Devdutt Padikkal scored 50 runs off 29 balls, and captain Rajat Patidar contributed an unbeaten 48 runs off 19 balls.
