Shiva Teekasingh returned remarkable T20 bowling figures of 6-16 in four overs to help Newborough Bulls win the Stamford KO Shield for the first time.

Teekasingh’s skills helped Newborough skittle Burghley Park for 87 in the competition final at Ketton Sports CC. Only Burghley captain Pete Foster, who hit a run a ball 36, offer much resistance.
Pete Ruffell (3-13) did claim early wickets for Burghley, but in-form Sam Jarvis (49no) saw Newborough home by six wickets with four balls to spare.
It’s the first success in any Stamford T20 competition for Newborough. They had lost in the final of the Stamford Charity Cup narrowly to Oundle Town the week before.
UNDER 15 KO
Peterborough Town have marched into the regional semi-finals of the ECB Under 15 Club T20 competition.
The city side saw off Great Melton from Norfolk by 45 runs in the second round at Bretton Gate on Sunday. Town will now play Leicester Ivanhoe for a place in the regional final, which would be a National semi-final.
Regular men’s second team players DJ Sivaganeshan and Sid Shanmugaraj both retired after hitting rapid half centuries. Sivaganeshan struck 51 from 48 balls with Shanmugaraj hitting 50 from just 36 balls as Town posted a total of 120-8.
The visitors could only reply with 75-8 as Aarav Poshala (3-13) and Prahlad Easwaran (2-10) returned excellent bowling fixtures.
MIDWEEK LEAGUE
Newborough won the Peterborough Big Bash Midweek League Cup final against Bharat Sports by six wickets at Orton Park CC.
Tom Shipman, Charlie Johnson and Vamshi Parvathaneni all picked up two wickets as Bharat were bowled out for 139. Dhaivat Mehta and Dipak Kuchadia both reached the retirement score of 35.
In reply Matty Mills, Jack Stokes and Parvathaneni all retired before Newborough sealed victory with three overs and a ball to spare. Fardin Satari took 2-21 for Bharat.
In the Plate final Sheikh 11 beat The Thirds by eight wickets. Naim Luhar and Adrian Joubert both retired as The Thirds posted 133-7. Adnan Latif took 3-15 for Sheikh 11 and struck 29 opening the batting for his team. Sajid Nasiem top scored with 36 for the winners who won with over five overs to spare.
LINCS T20
Orton Park have reached the finals of the Bob Welton South T20 Cup competition after wins over Billingborough and Bourne seconds at Billingborough.
Tom Wilkin struck 57 not out from just 32 balls after openers Stuart Williams and Kieran Judd had both cracked 40 as Orton piled up 186-3 to set up a 41-run win against Bourne. Jake Carlin (50) and Will Gardner (46) batted best in Bourne’s 145-5.
Orton beat the host club by five wickets after restricting them to 138-6. Judd struck 71 from just 51 balls in Orton’s successful reply.
