Caitlin Hewson made an unbeaten 92 on her debut as Bishop’s Stortford II won their top-of-the-table clash with Redbourn by 106 runs.

Her superbly crafted innings set the foundation for the Hertfordshire Women’s League, Championship Division leaders to extend their lead over their second-placed rivals.

Stortford were asked to bat first and posted 216-7 from their 30 overs as Hewson had support from Ciara Prenderville (33).

In the reply, captain Alisha Maxin bowled her spin for the first time this season and took 2-3 before Prenderville claimed 5-19 in an accurate spell of fast bowling to help dismiss the hosts for 110.
