Royal Challengers Bengaluru finally released the clip with audio from Virat Kohli's now-famous post-match conversation with teenage prodigy Vaibhav Sooryavanshi that took place after their second IPL title victory over Gujarat Titans at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

The clip had gone viral on social media, but nobody knew what was being said. However, RCB have now restored the sound, and it turned out to be worth the wait.

Rajasthan Royals did not make it to the final, as Gujarat Titans beat them in Qualifier 2, but Sooryavanshi was in Ahmedabad anyway. He watched the title match from the stands, seated next to ICC chairman Jay Shah, taking it all in as a spectator.

The clip runs for 43 seconds, and Kohli reminded Sooryavanshi that everything he has accomplished so far is the product of effort and self-belief rather than luck and advised him to turn a deaf ear to unsolicited observations from outsiders.

“Yaha se upar jana hai. Jo huya hai woh achi mehnat aur belief ke wajah se huya. Kaun kya bol raha hai, kaise bol raha hai... Ek Bihari sab pe bhaari. Khatam game (From here, you only go higher. Whatever has happened is because of your hard work and belief. Doesn't matter what people say or how they say it. A Bihari beats them all. End of story),” he told Sooryavanshi.

Earlier in the season, following RCB's match against Rajasthan Royals in Guwahati, Kohli sought out Sooryavanshi afterwards and signed an RR Cap. He also left a short personal message on it alongside his signature, which read: “Dear Vaibhav, Well Done.”

Sooryavanshi walked away from IPL 2026 with five individual awards, including the Orange Cap for finishing as the tournament's highest run-scorer and the Most Valuable Player award.
