Praful Hinge! This 24-year-old fearless prodigy from Vidarbha has grabbed the attention of the entire Cricket World after wreaking havoc in the first over of the run-chase of the SRH versus RR contest, breaking the back of Rajasthan, claiming the wickets of Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, Young Southafrican prodigy Lhuan dre Pretorius and Dhruv Jurel. The big dawgs like Josh Hazlewood, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Hardik Pandya and Jasprit Bumrah all failed to stop Sooryavanshi from creating carnage with the bat, 24-year-old Praful needed just one delivery to bring an end to the 15-year-old's IPL 2026 dominance.

The right-arm seamer delivered a bouncer and Vaibhav was beaten by the pace of the delivery and because of that, the ball got in contact with his bat's top edge and went straight up in the night sky of Hyderabad and fell safely in the wicket-keeping gloves of Salil Arora. A few balls later, Praful managed to get the better of the duo of Lhuan dre Pretorius and Dhruv Jurel as both the Rajasthan Royals batsmen got out for ducks. It's worth noting that this is the first time 15-year-old Fearless Prodigy Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has got out for a first-ball duck in his short IPL career.

The seamer from Vidarbha was all set to make his IPL debut a match earlier against Shreyas Iyer-led Punjab Kings and SRH captain Ishan Kishan had even announced that Hinge will be coming out to bowl as the impact player but things changed at the last moment and the Hyderabad Team-Management decided to go ahead with the more experienced Jyadev Unadkat as the impact-player.

Nonetheless, Praful finally got the chance to showcase his skills to the IPL world against RR tonight and what a debut it has proven to be for the tall right-arm seamer. Now, many of you peeps out there must be wondering who this guy is, where does he comes from, don't worry, we have got all of your questions covered and answered in this article

All the essential information regarding SRH's fiery debutant Praful Hinge

Praful Hinge, a right-handed fast bowler who plays Domestic Cricket for the Vidarbha Cricket Team, was acquired by SRH for 30 lakh Indian Rupees in this year's auction. In the 2024–25 season, he made his debut across all formats of the game for Vidarbha.

The pacer has dismissed batters 27 times at an average of 25.65 in his first 10 First-Class Cricket matches while in List-A matches, he has five scalps to his name. In T20's, the tall bowler has played just one match, taking a sole wicket prior to his debut in the Indian Premier League.

In addition, the pacer attended a 15-day program in Brisbane in 2024 and has been training at the MRF Fast-bowling  Academy in Chennai, India since 2022. His father is employed by the state power authority, and he hails from a very modest family.

At the MRF Pace Foundation, he also received training from former Indian speedster Varun Aaron. Interestingly, Aaron is currently the Sunrisers Hyderabad's bowling coach for the 2026 Indian Premier League. Due to his history of back issues, Hinge has been working closely with Aaron over the past few months to improve his motion and prevent disruptions.
