Quiz! World champions, Ashes heroes – how well do you know cricket’s grandchildren and great-grandchildren?
In this quiz, you have to answer ten questions on cricket’s grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The English cricket fraternity received a rude shock on May 27, 1888, when the touring Australians routed a full-strength home team in one day. The hosts (MCC) were bowled out for 33 and 19. Despite being bowled out for 41 in the first innings, the visitors won comfortably by nine wickets. The game paved the way for international cricket. Despite the quality of the teams, the match did not get Test status.
George Bailey made three not out the only time he batted, in the Australian first innings. His great-great-grandson of the same name later led Australia (that too on international debut), but they are not part of this quiz.
