Vaibhav Suryavanshi is still riding high after his crucial contribution to India’s sixth U19 World Cup victory. However, just days after achieving this massive milestone, the young cricket star is now facing a different kind of challenge. Like many of his peers, Suryavanshi is gearing up for the CBSE Class 10 board exams, proving that even world champions must also focus on academics.
Vaibhav, who studies at Podar International School in Samastipur, Bihar, has completed all necessary steps and obtained his admit card for the CBSE exams, which will be held from February 17 to March 11. Due to his national team duties, Vaibhav was unable to attend classes, but the school’s principal, Neel Kishore, assured that the institution will offer all the support he needs to ensure a smooth exam experience.
“Vaibhav Suryavanshi will appear for the Class 10 board exams at our school. We will make sure that he encounters no issues during the exam process,” he said, as reported by News18.
Vaibhav had an exceptional run in the U19 World Cup, amassing 439 runs at an impressive average of 62. There were concerns about his ability to perform in crucial matches, but he silenced his critics with a phenomenal display in the final against England, where he scored a match-winning 175 runs.
Once his exams are done, Vaibhav will turn his attention to the Indian Premier League (IPL), where he’ll play for Rajasthan Royals. The franchise secured his services for INR 1.1 crores in the 2025 IPL auction, making him the youngest-ever player to be selected. During a match against Gujarat Titans, Vaibhav Suryavanshi showcased his exceptional skill by scoring a blistering century, becoming the youngest cricketer to ever score a T20 century.
