Cameras caught Knox Jolie-Pitt heading home from his usual LA Muay Thai class on Labor Day. The same day, a boxing club 6,000 miles away in Kharkiv posted that he’d recently dropped in with mom Angelina Jolie and trained alongside Ukrainian defenders.

The Spadkoyemets boxing club in Kharkiv, Ukraine and the Ukrainian Boxing Federation posted on September 7 that Angelina Jolie and her 18-year-old son had recently turned up unannounced, with Knox joining a Muay Thai session alongside Ukrainian defenders while his mother visited. Backgrid photographed Knox leaving a Muay Thai class in Los Angeles the same day the posts went up.

Jolie’s third visit to Ukraine since the full-scale invasion began. In its note, the gym thanked her for the “humanity and genuine interest” she showed in the club and its history, and said the team looked forward to seeing them again.

Muay Thai is more than a hobby for Knox. He’s trained for over a year, and in July 2025, around his 17th birthday, he won gold at an IKF Point Muay Thai Technical event in LA with his mom and twin sister Vivienne watching. Hours after his June 2026 high school graduation, he stepped into an exhibition bout at Total Sonic Knockout 5 in downtown LA, telling the crowd from his grad podium: “Tonight, I’m gonna be fighting at Total Sonic Knockout 5 at 12:45 a.m., so catch me.
