Barton Seagrave Cricket Club is ending the season on a high following a successful beer festival and a continued effort to strengthen its connections within the local community.

The club has successfully welcomed 16 local businesses on board to support the club through pitch-side boundary advertising banners, creating valuable funds that will help support future improvements and development.

Emma Atkins, a committee member whose husband and son both play for the adult teams, said: “We are fortunate to have a beautiful ground. However, as a small community club, we do have limited facilities, which in recent years we have slowly been developing with the help and support of fundraising.”

“The latest influx of local small businesses utilising our boundary fence with pitch-side advertising has created some much-needed funds to continue these upgrades. We hope this will enable us to welcome even more of the local community to join us throughout the season and experience the warm and welcoming atmosphere our club has to offer.”

“We still have plenty more advertising space available for any businesses interested in promoting their services with us. We are lucky enough to welcome hundreds of visitors from all over Northamptonshire throughout the cricket season.”

“We are also looking to secure an official kit sponsor for our two adult teams, which would be really meaningful to the club. New, professionally sponsored kits would give our players a genuine sense of pride and help us build confidence as we continue to develop, both on and off the pitch.”
