Sydney Thunder have received a major boost ahead of tomorrow night’s Sydney Smash against the Sixers, with captain David Warner returning for their first home game of the season at ENGIE Stadium.

Warner replaces Ollie Davies, after the Thunder skipper was ruled out of the first match against the Hobart Hurricanes with injury.

Tom Andrews also returns to the squad, replacing Charlie Anderson, who was named as a Local Replacement Player for the season opener.

It’s set to be an electric atmosphere at ENGIE Stadium, with less than 1,000 tickets remaining. Fans can purchase final tickets here.

“We’re looking forward to seeing a sea of green supporting us at home,” Thunder Assistant Coach, Shawn Bradstreet said.

“It’s great to have Davey Warner back. He’s an inspirational leader who gets the best out of the group and the fact that he’s a world class player puts us in a good position to get our first win.”
