Drawing on more than 30 interviews with players and coaches, 'A View From The Bridge: Nottinghamshire Cricket 2000-25' gives full accounts of the trophy wins, heartbreaking defeats and near misses which have thrilled and frustrated fans for the past quarter of a century.

It was written by Cambridgeshire resident Joel Lamy as a passion project while he was in hospital, with all proceeds going to charities which support sporting inclusion for young people.

Particular focus is given to the three Championship triumphs which each had their own dramatic conclusion. From Stephen Fleming's inspirational leadership in 2005, to perhaps the most thrilling final day finish in the competition's history in 2010, and the inside story behind the 2025 dethronement of a dominant Surrey side, each chapter is filled with anecdotes and memories from those involved.

With stories including Shoaib Akhtar's bizarre overseas stint, Kevin Pietersen's remarkable Notts career, the wonderkid who never quite fulfilled his talent and the one cap wonder who inspired a crucial victory, ‘A View From The Bridge’ delves into the many characters who have graced the Green and Gold over the past 25 years - as well as the famous faces who so nearly joined (Shane Warne and Steve Waugh among them).

The book also goes into great detail on the four white ball successes during this period, as well as international cricket at Trent Bridge and off-field developments.

Moreover, it reflects on the ever-changing nature of domestic cricket, from the creation of a two division County Championship to the advent of T20 and formulation of The Hundred.

Among those interviewed are club legends, international players, overseas stars and backroom staff. The final chapter on the triumphant 2025 season includes recollections from many of those involved, detailing everything from a rigorous pre-season to the raucous celebrations once the final ball had been bowled.
